It won't be long now. The count down begins as we enter into the last two weeks before the historic Red Star trip to South Korea where the worlds best Taekwon-Do fighters, both WTF and ITF will line out against each other.
Training has being going very well indeed as our athletes reach target weights. At present the guys are training nearly six times a week, although with the leaving cert this week things have slowed down a tad, but everyone is still moving well and looking good.
The team fly out on June 28th.
Fundraising has been going very well also, and after a massive club effort we have been able to cover the costs of the trip for the students who were selected. A very big thank you goes out to everyone who helped out. The biggest effort of course came from the students themselves, the Little Kickers, the TKD Tigers and the TKD warriors all put the shoulder to the wheel and gave a huge push.
Some day soon it will be their turn to represent Ireland at international level.
So thank you to each and everyone of you, parents, community groups and friends out there who gave us a much needed helping hand.
